As with most high school sports, supporting your high school time with off season soccer practices/leagues will really benefit players.  There are a lot of different opportunities in the area.  Club soccer is probably the biggest compliment to the high school season - each club is different but generally there will be winter indoor training of some sort with outdoor practices starting when fields open in the spring and league games and weekend tournaments in May/June/early July.  This year's soccer team has players at many different clubs around the north metro area which include, but may not be limited to the following:

While competitive tryouts were already held at the end of July, if you are interested in having your player do competitive club soccer, you can contact the club to see if there are teams with openings.  Or if competitive programs aren't for you, many also have a recreational program that also runs in the spring but has less commitment.
